there is actually a deliberate design choice regarding the headmistress, a subtle hint if you will, and I bet no one spots it.

I find it strange that he just suspends her and doesn't look into it any further. I mean Harmony is very well behaved so I would think he would really want to look into what happened and why.

She has green eyes! Thus she must be Chrysalis!

On a more serious note, did Grace get a chance to defend herself at all? I'm not sure what effect telling the whole truth would have, but it might help. Or more likely make the principal exasperated at her lying.

no evidence, no prior convictions but "I don't know how you did it, but I know you did" what kind of principal is this! "you and your little ro-pet had something to do with it she doesn't believe Celestia is sentient, yet she believes she is capable of being involved in a plot to trap a possibly known bully (trust me the staff know who has a track record and theirs no way this was that boy's first offense)

plus being a distraction in class is hardly that significant an offense, and hers was obviously unintentional T_T

She reminds me of the person who fired Grace's dad. The one with green eyes. And a close-up of him glaring at the screen. And is pretentious and all that.

BUCK, I think I figured it out. She's a female version of the dude who fired Grace's dad. *crosses fingers and looks at the artist expectantly*

No kidding it escalated quickly. But sometimes there's a situation in which everything looks like the world is turned upside down and then later the reasons why it happened are learned and it all make sense.

Maybe a teacher DID see Tia do something, told the principal this "dangerous" thing is at the school, and they are doing their best to get it out without raising suspicion.
Maybe the teachers had a lot of trouble recently with ro-pets being brought to school, and had already issued warnings against doing so int he future. They presume Harmony blatantly ignored posted policy.
Maybe the bully is a teacher's kid. I WATCHED a truck with a sofa bolted to the bed drive up on the sidewalk, a gang of guys jump out, one even pulling a knife, and chase a buddy of mine for 10 blocks, because they didn't approve of him, trying out for the football team... And they got nothing more than a slap on the wrist and a warning over it, after my buddy ENDED HIS CHASE by RUNNING INTO THE POLICE STATION and filing a report, with an adult witness (me)... All because one of the kids parents was on the school board, and the other on the city council. Buck school/town politics, and the manure that their kids can get away with. If I'd have had half a mind to, I should have unthreaded their tire stem valves and suggested the curb hop deflated their tires! XD

My own BROTHER was threatened by his OWN HUNTING RIFLE by one of the neighbors to a property my uncle owns. He had been hunting with my cousin and the neighbor just walks up behind, grabs the gun out of his hand, and demands he get of "their property". Back int he 70s, my grandfather quite literally sniped the winning bid from the neighbor, who sought to expand their land. They've had a grudge against my family ever since. Their two sons bullied my family in school, all the way till high school. This was after I was out of school... When we went to the police to report it... The ops literally told us, it was our word against theirs, and there was nothing they could do about it. They didn't lift a finger. They made it clear that they were not going to do anything... You know... That family has a member on the town council...

Whether it's school or politics, there is far too after corruption, and far to often, a failure of justice.

sounds like you have experienced more than a little of the worlds unfairness.
it is surprising just how often you hear tell of tales such as these from US citizens, and quite frankly, they make me glad I live outside the USA.

You're friend and brother both have my sympathy for having to go through such traumatic events.  and then to have the police betray the trust placed in them to dispense justice must have only added insult to injury.

Yeah, it's far too disturbing, and far too common.

True friends give of themselves to better each other's lives through kindness, honestly, generosity, loyalty, and laughter! The TRUE magic of friendship!

Parasprites, bullies, power hungry, and the selfish in general latch onto "friends" for favors to serve their own needs. They only give just enough to receive, and aim to take from those who can't fight back. If they can stab someone in the back to rise above them, they will. You get people who use others to rise up, and then you get a self cyclic feed of favors. "I'll vote for you if you back me and my family." "I'll avert my eyes to that one thing that totally didn't happen if you re-elect me." Buck the dirty corruption! World could do with a few loving pony princesses who have lifetimes of wisdom!

This doesn't surprise me. If all schools had a proper system of justice, we wouldn't have students who either kill themselves or kill their classmates out of sheer desperation to make it stop.

I heard a story about a fourth-grade bully who got a detention for kicking someone while they were taking a drink from the water fountain.

The kid's head struck the water fountain.

And a brick wall.

He needed twenty stitches.

And all the bully got was a detention.

Again, this is probably the kind of thing some schools would do.

"Principle" is an idea. "Principal" is a person. And since the office belongs to the principal, it's possessive, meaning it should be "principal's" and not "principles".

Huh... pretty sure no decent school would *suspend* a student on the account of ONE ''unlikely and hardly credible'' report from 1 student(bully, who probably has ''bad spots'' in his own student file), and relatively minor and inconsequential disturbance in a class room. -_-

Also, a bit more about that last point there : It's... a... SCHOOL !!
Unless she disturb the class AAAAAAALL the time or does some majorly disrupting stuff... That's not gonna happen. Some parents could, in fact, sue such school for that.

So... what I' trying to say is that this ''drama'' isn't believable (if anything, it's a little bit irritating), especially with what we know and where told so far.

the propensity to sue over the smallest things is a chiefly American export and most countries do not suffer from what in the UK at least, as "American fever".  (the habit of suing anyone over anything in search of free money) this is usually because even if the organization is fined, the plantif does not necessarily get any money beyond legal fees.

Good thing I'm not 'American', but Canadian then, right ?

Call it whatever you want, from threat of lawsuit over abusive action/use of power to filing a formal legal complaint against the establishment/director, if we go by decent logic something ''legal'' can and should be done after this.
